1. Evidence-Based Interventions for Individuals with Dementia
This chapter describes the list of evidence-based interventions and principles of dementia intervention.
2. Errorless Learning and Spaced Retrieval
This chapter describes errorless learning, including a description of the approach and the procedures involved. It also describes the definition of spaced retrieval, step-by-step procedural use of spaced retrieval with the dementia population, determination of specific problems for spaced retrieval, spaced retrieval prompt question development, and written examples of spaced-retrieval implementation with conversations and goals (locking wheelchair brakes, preventing dehydration, patient yelling out).
3. Montessori-Based Dementia Programming
