All physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in the state of Tennessee are required to take jurisprudence as part of their licensing renewal. This course provides a detailed look at the Tennessee Board of Physical Therapy's General Rules Governing the Practice of Physical Therapy, including a review of licensing requirements to ensure you practice in compliance with the state's mandates. Therapists and therapist assistants who embrace a culture of knowing their practice act and professional accountability can create a culture where problems are prevented and risk is mitigated. Additionally, this course will provide information and case-based examples to help improve your PT practice through better understanding of the rules and regulations governing the physical therapy practice in Tennessee. While this course covers the two-hour jurisprudence requirement, Tennessee also requires you to take another two hours specifically for ethics to meet the required four hours of ethics and jurisprudence.
